MedSweep

Know what you took.

Know when it’s due.

Privacy Policy

MedSweep never sends your data anywhere. You can export it yourself, and where it goes is up to you.

What MedSweep collects

Nothing. MedSweep has no account system, no server, and no analytics. The developer cannot see your medications, your dose history, or anything about how you use the app.

Where your information lives

The medications you add and the doses you log are stored only in MedSweep's own storage on your device. They are not uploaded, synced, backed up to any service run by the developer, or shared with anyone.

If your device is set up to back itself up (to iCloud or to a computer), MedSweep's data may be included in that backup, the same as any other app's. That backup is yours and is governed by Apple's terms, not by MedSweep.

The one way data leaves your device

MedSweep can export your dose history so you can keep a copy or show it to a clinician. That export happens only when you start it, and iOS then asks you where it should go. MedSweep does not choose the destination and does not keep a copy.

This is why this policy does not claim that data never leaves your device. It can, when you decide it should. The commitment is that you hold that decision, always.

Notifications

Medication reminders are scheduled locally by your device. MedSweep does not use push notifications and never registers a push token, so no reminder passes through the developer's systems or any third party's.

Third parties

MedSweep contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, no crash-reporting service, and no tracking of any kind. It does not sell, rent, or share personal information, because it does not collect any.

Children

MedSweep is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Health data

Information you enter about medications is sensitive by nature. MedSweep treats it accordingly: it stays on your device, it is never transmitted, and it is never used for advertising or profiling. MedSweep does not read from or write to Apple Health.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual doses and medications in the app, and clear history from the History screen. Deleting MedSweep from your device removes its stored data along with it. Because nothing is held on a server, there is nothing to request deletion of.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. A change that weakened the commitment above would be a change to what MedSweep is, so it is not something to expect quietly.

Not a medical device

MedSweep is a reminder and logging tool, not medical advice. Dosing, intervals, and drug interactions should be confirmed with a physician or pharmacist.
